- Born 16 November 1962, Delhi, India.
- Founded Su-Kam as a startup in 1988; moved into power backup and inverters in 1998.
- Built Su-Kam into a power-electronics company operating in around 90+ countries, with 6 manufacturing plants (Gurgaon and Baddi, Himachal Pradesh) and a dedicated R&D facility in Gurgaon.
- Pioneered India's first MOSFET-based single-battery inverter, India's first plastic-body inverter (the "CHIC", which India Today called "Innovation of the Decade"), India's first DSP sine-wave inverter, and the integrated Solar Power Conditioning Unit (PCU).
- Won India's first SECI solar tender (3 MW, 2012) and installed India's first institutional megawatt rooftop solar project (BSES, Delhi, 2012).
- Kunwer Sachdev exited Su-Kam in 2019 and is not responsible for any activity of the company since. Anyone dealing with Su-Kam does so solely with its current management.
- Holder of 106 technology filings (77 at Su-Kam, 25 at Su-Vastika, 4 personal AI filings); 24 patents granted by the Indian Patent Office; filing since 2002.
- He now mentors and supports Su-Vastika Systems, a power-backup and energy-storage company.
