Bank in Dhule, Maharashtra Faced 16 Hours of Daily Powercuts — Then Went Solar
Dhule district, Maharashtra
The Central Bank of India branch in Dhule district, Maharashtra, faced up to 16 hours of daily power cuts — impossible for a branch that runs on ATMs, servers and security systems. It went solar with Su-Kam.
Banking operations now ran uninterrupted: ATMs, computers, lighting and security all backed by solar and battery storage, independent of an unreliable grid.
Banks are exactly the kind of always-on institution that off-grid solar suits, and the Dhule branch became a template for solar in the financial sector.
