Introducing Hybrid Gensets — A Su-Kam Kohler Initiative
Out of the Su-Kam–Kohler joint venture came hybrid gensets — combining solar, inverter and generator technology into one backup solution.
The idea: pair clean solar with a Kohler-built generator so buildings could lean on the sun first and fall back to fuel only when needed, cutting both diesel bills and emissions.
It positioned Su-Kam at the bridge between fossil-fuel backup and renewable energy — a practical hybrid path for Indian businesses not yet ready to go fully off-grid.
The initiative showed how Kunwer Sachdev used partnerships to extend Su-Kam's range without losing its solar-first identity.
