Engineering College in Kerala Runs on 135KW Solar Power

Kerala

Kerala, India's most literate state, added a clean-energy credential: an engineering college there installed a 135KW Su-Kam grid-tie solar system — one of the larger institutional installations in the state.

A campus is an ideal solar host — big daytime load, ample roof area, predictable consumption — and grid-tie with net metering let the college offset a major share of its power bill.

Institutional installs like this mattered strategically: they proved Su-Kam could deliver at hundred-kilowatt scale, and put solar in front of the next generation of engineers.
