Su-Kam Solar Achieves a New High — 4KW Solar in North Bengal Forest at 7,000 ft
Dow Hill, Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal
Su-Kam installed a 4KW solar project for the North Bengal Forest Department at the satellite zoo in Dow Hill, Kurseong — part of Padmaja Naidu Park, Darjeeling — at an altitude of more than 7,000 feet.
Solar at extreme altitude, for wildlife conservation, in a place where running grid lines is impractical — exactly the off-grid niche where Su-Kam's systems excelled.
The install showed the range of Su-Kam's deployments under Kunwer Sachdev: from desert checkposts to Himalayan forests, wherever reliable power was hardest to get.
