Recovered Su-Kam archive Guides & How-To 2016

About this page — a recovered blog post from the Su-Kam era, originally published on blog.su-kam.com during Kunwer Sachdev's tenure as Founder & MD. The original blog was lost after Su-Kam's insolvency; this page is reconstructed from the Internet Archive and preserved as a historical record.

3 Common Myths About Pure Sine Wave Inverters

Pure sine wave inverters produce clean, grid-quality power — but a few stubborn myths kept many Indian buyers on cheaper square-wave units. As the company that built India's first pure sine wave inverter, Su-Kam set out to clear up the three most common.

Myth 1 — 'they're too expensive to be worth it.' A sine wave inverter protects sensitive electronics (TVs, fridges, computers, medical devices) from the harsh, noisy output of square-wave units, avoiding damage that costs far more than the price difference. Myth 2 — 'ordinary homes don't need one.' Modern homes are full of microprocessor-controlled appliances that run hotter, hum, or fail outright on modified or square waves. Myth 3 — 'all sine wave inverters are the same.' Output purity, efficiency and protection vary widely; Su-Kam's MOSFET and DSP designs delivered cleaner waveforms than most.

Because Su-Kam pioneered the technology, this wasn't marketing — it was the inventor explaining its own engineering. The guidance still holds for anyone buying power backup today.
