4 Misconceptions About Solar Panels
Solar adoption in India was held back as much by misinformation as by cost. Su-Kam's blog tackled four misconceptions that came up again and again with customers.
'Solar is too expensive' — falling panel prices, subsidies and net metering had already made rooftop solar pay back within a few years. 'Panels only work in peak summer' — they generate in diffused light too, and India's average sunshine makes most regions viable year-round. 'Solar needs constant maintenance' — panels are largely maintenance-free, needing little beyond occasional cleaning. 'My roof isn't suitable' — most rooftops, and even open land, can host a correctly designed system.
Cutting through these myths was central to how Su-Kam grew the market — educate first, sell second, in Kunwer Sachdev's playbook.
